​INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

COUPLES COUNSELING & FAMILY THERAPY
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist I am trained to treat the whole family. I provide premarital and couples counseling as well as family therapy to address issues such as addiction and codependency.

 
ASSESSMENT & REFERRAL SERVICES

90 minute tele-interview evaluation which will gather a detailed personal history and explore current symptoms and stressors. Upon completion of the session I will walk you through the next steps. You will be provided a written evaluation, recommendations for continued care, contact information for skilled mental health providers in your area, assistance and guidance regarding insurance and payment options and contact information for other community based services such as support groups, 12 step meetings and other wellness providers

MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness  is the the practice of focusing and paying attention to the present moment and it is one of the key strategies to reducing stress. Often people try to deal with their stress by fighting with themselves. They either ignore or suppress what is happening or they become overwhelmed while focusing on their problems. Neither of these approaches are effective. By learning mindfulness and relaxation techniques you can begin to manage and control your stress and anxiety symptoms. A mindfulness practice is like going to the mental gym. With 15-30 minutes of practice a day you will be in a much healthier place to effectively problem solve the difficulties that may arise in your day to day life.
EMDR
EMDR is a short-term therapy to resolve symptoms of a specific traumatic event using bilateral stimulation of both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. This stimulation paired with a targeted visualization of the event helps people to process through and resolve the lingering negative effects.
